Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Hawthorne, NY
The SLP will evaluate and provide therapy services to clients with speech and / or language disorders, formulate individualized treatment programs, keep appropriate records, and inform relevant parties about the clients' progress.
Salary : $70,000-$105,000 depending on experience
Primary Responsibilities : Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Provide SLP services to clients aged 2-8 years old
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs
- Help clients improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Maintain timely and accurate client records and reports to ensure client progress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care
- Educate families on strategies for managing conditions and maximizing independence
Qualifications :
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Facilities management experience (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Healthcare services experience (preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities :
None
Required Skills / Abilities :
- New York State Speech and Language Pathologist license (Required)
- TSSLD (Preferred)
- Enthusiastic personality that will engage children
- Strong client service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with BCBAs, BTs, parents, and clients in a positive and constructive way.
- Experience working with pediatric clients is highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with adults and children
- Ability to plan, manage, and evaluate curriculum
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required for recordkeeping and documentation
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation requirements
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods of standing and sitting throughout the center.
- Must be able to lift to 45 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with clients
