The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Senior Curriculum Manager , Academic and Student Affairs Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine R0144572 .
ROLE of the POSITION
The position of Senior Curriculum Manager fills an essential space beneath the Assistant Dean of Curriculum Management to assist in the planning, organization, evaluation, and management of basic science and clinical operations.
In addition to policies and procedures, this position will interact directly with high level administrators, department chairs, faculty, staff, students, and representatives to ensure the smooth functioning of both existing and new courses and clerkships.
This position oversees the curriculum management team (Curriculum Managers), participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives within the School, and is accountable for pertinent functions related to day-to-day curriculum operations.
In this expanded supervisory role, The Senior Curriculum Manager oversees managers responsible for serving as primary points of contact for basic science faculty, medical students, and administrative professionals within the undergraduate medical education (UME) program.
The Senior Curriculum Manager ensures that the team effectively updates and manages Canvas course information in UNLV Webcampus and MedHub, including syllabi, lecture materials, presentations, and other integrated organ-based system and supplemental course content.
The Senior Curriculum Manager will also manage budgets and ensure that resources are allocated effectively.
The position of Senior Curriculum Manager supervises the preparation, proctoring, and reporting of NBME subject / course exams, ensuring that score reports and final grade reports are accurately distributed to the Director of Educational Outcomes & Assessment and the Registrar.
Additionally, the Senior Curriculum Managers oversees the maintenance and compilation of program evaluation reports, guiding course directors on improving online learning tools and implementing changes for future iterations of basic science courses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and / or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), along with 3-5 years of relevant experience, including 1-3 years in a management and supervisory role.
All credentials must be obtained before the start date.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Related work experience in a higher education environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Related work experience in a medical school environment.
