Position Summary

Finance & Performance Finance GenAI Manager

Finance & Performance Unlocking financial performance and enterprise value.

We work as trusted advisors to CFO’s, COO’s, CIO’s, and other key executives to advise, implement, and deliver as-a service solutions, improving finance, shared service and real estate operations, and helping clients develop strategies to support enterprise-wide decision making.

Work you’ll do

Manager level responsibilities include :

  • Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues
  • Determine client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches
  • Evaluate and validate analysis and developing recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement
  • You will be expected to implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
  • Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members

Our FI&T team transforms Finance from function to dynamic capability.As finance cycles converge, we advise, implement, and operate best-in-class solutions across actuals and forecast to accelerate insights including finance and analytics, planning, FP&A as-a-service, finance technology strategy, and ERP-enabled finance transformation.

FinanceAITM

Our FinanceAITM team automates, accelerates, and augments the Finance function leveraging the power of data and AI models.

As CFOs are challenged with increasing demands for real-time financial decision making, we advise, implement, and operate innovative AI solutions (both Generative & Predictive) that address their needs.

Our team helps clients navigate the dramatic shift to AI, ensuring that Finance function is a dynamic, forward-looking, and integral part of the business.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Strong ability to explain complex generative and predictive AI concepts simply to non-technical stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor on opportunities.
  • Ability to assess use cases where generative and predictive AI can add value and drive innovation. This includes opportunities in content creation, process automation, conversational AI, statistical forecasting, advanced analytics, and more.
  • Experience developing prototypes and proofs of concept with generative and predictive AI. Ability to demonstrate value and get stakeholder buy-in.
  • Skilled in Prompt Engineering and AI chatbot / user facing applications with features such as search, translation, and summarization.
  • Experience applying data science techniques, including time series, supervised learning (e.g., regression analysis, classification analysis, univariate models, multi-variate models), and / or unsupervised learning (e.

g., clustering, association, dimensionality reduction), to Finance use cases such as forecasting and predictive analytics.

  • Skilled in data collection and preparation, analysis, interpretation, and predictive modeling approaches to test and validate statistical drivers.
  • Experience in managing the design and deployment of predictive AI models to identify key driver relationships and forecast financial statements (e.

g., P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

  • Knowledge of best practices in training, evaluating, and deploying generative AI responsibly. Understand technical and ethical considerations.
  • Ability to design human + AI workflows that optimize generative models' strengths while mitigating limitations.
  • Proven expertise in cloud engineering design with a focus on integrating cloud platform services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) into technical architectures to optimize solutions and align with business needs.
  • Proficient with the core concepts of at least one programming language such as Python, R, and SQL and adept with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PySpark.
  • Experience working with GenAI / Large Language Models (LLMs) like DALL-E, GPT-3, PaLM, and / or others.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries / sectors you serve.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience) from an accredited university.

Preferred :

  • Bachelor’s degree from a STEM-designated program (master’s degree is a plus).
  • Understanding of Finance business processes, including FP&A, Strategic Finance, Business Unit Finance, Controllership (Close & Consolidations), Tax, Treasury, Management and External Reporting, and Investor Relations.
  • Stay on top of the latest developments in generative and predictive AI research and models and identify potential applications.
  • Knowledge of generative AI implementation challenges including data quality, model biases, cost management, cyber security, and strategies to address them.
  • Experience defining and measuring KPIs and metrics for generative and predictive AI projects to evaluate success and identify areas of improvement.
  • Experience interacting and communicating with both business-oriented and IT-oriented clients.
  • Demonstrated ability of meeting project requirements and leading project deliverables creation.
  • Accredited Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) certifications (e.g., AWS, Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Azure)
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the client organization, build consensus and foster change
  • Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of larger engagements
  • Experience with pre-sales, proposals and RFP activities
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to mentor and counsel junior staff
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills; professional competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,700 to $229,500.
