Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer (PE) with experience in Transportation Design / Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) to work in our Corpus Christi, TX office.

The Corpus Christi Transportation team is looking for a talented professional to join a new Transportation team in support of performing Transportation Design for TxDOT roadway & highway design projects.

Roadway Engineer (PE) - Transportation PS&E Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities :

• Works under a Professional Engineer (PE) Transportation Team Leader in the development of roadway design and Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E)
• Works closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways
• Works on multiple transportation projects in support of business needs
• Assists in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT’s, and technical staff
• Works with Transportation Team Leader and Operations Manager in business development activities
• Assists in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules
• Reviews transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency

Roadway Engineer (PE) - Transportation PS&E Education / Experience Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas or willing and able to obtain license within six months
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation project delivery
• MicroStation CADD and Geopak experience
• Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production
• Experience working with a design team, coordinating with clients or stakeholders and leading delivery of transportation planning and / or design projects.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and decision-making skills
• Commitment to quality
• Positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player and a person of high character with a focus on quality, integrity and success
• TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) is
• OpenRoads experience
