Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring Phase I and II PACU experience as well as pre-op care, with current IL RN license and specialized certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a hospital surgical department
  • Patient population includes post-operative patients requiring Phase I and Phase II recovery, as well as pre-op preparation
  • Schedule is four 10-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with shift start times varying between 9 : 30 am and 10 : 30 am
  • Call rotation required for weekend and holiday coverage, with specific night and weekend call hours
  • No on-call responsibilities during regular day shifts outside of rotation
  • Nurses must be able to take call on rotation, including Friday and Sunday night as well as full weekend coverage as scheduled
  • Care for patients in all stages of post-operative recovery as well as provide pre-op care
  • Must be able to respond to call requirements as needed

  • Active IL RN license required
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Recent Phase I and II PACU nursing experience required
  • Pre-operative nursing experience required
