Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex civil infrastructure and land development projects for both private and public-sector clients.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, subconsultants, and design staff to ensure on-time and on-budget project execution.
  • Prepare engineering reports, construction documents, cost estimates, and technical specifications for roadway, drainage, water, wastewater, and grading projects.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor for EITs and early-career PEs; review and seal engineering plans within your discipline.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary partners including survey, geotechnical, environmental, and utility subconsultants.
  • Interface with reviewing agencies such as TXDOT, TCEQ, FEMA, USACE, and municipal entities to secure approvals and resolve design challenges.
  • Support client relationships and business development efforts through quality work, responsiveness, and creative problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (Master’s preferred).
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas (required).
  • 7+ years of progressive civil design experience in land development, transportation, or municipal projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with hydrology / hydraulics (H&H) design.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, submittal reviews, and QA / QC processes.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, mentor junior staff, and interact effectively with clients and agencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
