FrameTec is looking for a Wall Panel Designer with experience in a specific building component type or whole house. Do you have experience designing roof or floor trusses, wall panels, materials estimating any or all of these?

Who is the Wall Panel Designer at FrameTecUnder the direction of the Design Manager, the Wall Panel Designer at FrameTec is responsible for creating structural wall panel designs and project estimating for Camp Verde, AZ Operations (FrameTec Alpha).

You will be part of a team of Structural Designers responsible for the complete design of structural framing components (wall panels and trusses), lumber and hardware estimates and turnkey framing bids.

You will be part of the team that creates the front-end design and quoting process for FrameTec Alpha, including estimating, pre-construction coordination, value engineering and quality control.

This position requires both technical design and estimating.

Core Responsibilities of a Wall Panel Designer at FrameTecYou will create any or all of the following : structural roof and floor truss and wall panel designs using Eagle Metal’s TrueBuild® software.

Value engineer designs and suggest changes that may be needed to existing plans, ensuring FrameTec is producing the highest quality products.

Ensure smooth flow of work product between Purchasing, Plant Production, and Installed Framing departments.Prepare designs and quotations for assigned projects and then ensure due dates are met.

Create price updates and quote updates as needed based on customer changes and requirements.Other duties as assigned.

The FrameTec Wall Panel Designer Should Have the FollowingTechnical Expertise - A strong working knowledge of structural framing component design and fabrication.

Estimating.Strategic Thinking Help develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; understand organizations strengths & weaknesses;

adapts strategy to changing conditions.Proficiency using Eagle Metal’s TrueBuild® and / or MiTek Sapphire® software programs to develop structural design plans.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Miscellaneous Requirements to be Part of the FrameTec Structural Design Team5+ years of structural wood component design experience in high volume truss and panel manufacturing environments.

Proven experience in structural design.The ability to plan, project and prioritize in a complex and dynamic environment.Be highly motivated and be able to work both independently as well as be a collaborative team member.
