Job Title : Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Job Specialty : Rehabilitation Therapy Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Monday-Friday, Days Guaranteed Hours : 32 hours per week Experience : Rehab Optima Experience Preferred License : State License Verification Required Certifications : CPR Must-Have : Resume- Three References- County Criminal Check (last 7 years for all counties lived and worked)- Federal Criminal Check (last 7 years or more)- Multi-State Criminal Search (last 7 years or more)- Nationwide Sex Offender Search (last 7 years or more)- HHS / OIG Search- GSA Search- Social Security Number Trace- 1 Step PPD or Quantiferon or Proof of Positive PPD and Chest X-Ray- SAM Search- Texas DADS- Negative Drug Screen Results Job Description : Full-time position with an expectation of 40 hours per week.
- Support and assist in the delivery of occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct care for patients in rehabilitation settings.- Document patient care according to professional and facility standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate patient progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly.- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and get feedback.
- Educate patients and their families on continued care post-discharge.- Maintain a safe and effective environment conducive to rehabilitation.
