School Psychologist
AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Psychologist that is available for the 2024 / 2025 school year.
Requirements :
- Graduate Degree (M.A., Ed.S., M.S. Ed., Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D.) in psychology, social work, or counseling.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Ability to understand procedures and function in a school system with regard to the special education play in the overall education of the student
- Prior experience in public school is desirable
- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to participate in events outside normal hours, travel as needed and engage actively in the role.
- Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids;
- hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone;
and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and / or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
Job Description :
- Caseload and details of position / classroom type will differ based on school location.

- Contract through the 2024 / 2025 school year 37.5 to 40 hours per week
- Contract follows the academic district calendar
Essential Functions :
- Administers and Interprets assessment information accurately and presents findings / recommendations
- Coordinates and participates in benchmarking and progress monitoring
- Individual and group counseling
- Conducts classroom observations of students to analyze behavior and learning dynamics
- Develops short and long-term goals for students assigned for counseling
- Provides consultation to teachers and parents on strategies to effect positive changes in the student and his environment
Salary :
- $55-$60 / hr.
- $2,200 $2,400 / week based on 40 hours.
