Culinary Banquet Kitchen Supervisor | Full Time
We're hiring at Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City. The Culinary Supervisor will supervise hourly cooks and support kitchen operations to deliver quality product in a fast-paced environment. This role includes basic kitchen operation knowledge, department training, and the ability to assume department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef. It may involve basic cost control understanding, communication, leadership, and computer skills; payroll costs and overtime may be monitored where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Supervise hourly cooks and support kitchen operations to ensure timely, high-quality meals for events and hotel guests.
- Assist in training, basic cost control, and department leadership in the absence of the Sous Chef.
- Monitor payroll costs and overtime as applicable.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to maintain standards for quality and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Culinary degree or minimum of one year related high-volume kitchen management experience.3 years of previous line experience preferred.Ability to perform basic cooking skills and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings and afternoons with weekend and holiday availability.Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to stand for long periods.Benefits
