Position Overview : Soliant Education is excited to offer a full-time position for a dedicated Special Education Teacher in the Lexington, MN area.
This role is focused on supporting a middle school ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classroom with a manageable caseload and dedicated classroom support.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with students with ASD and committed to creating an inclusive and effective learning environment.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with two paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Create and maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed to achieve educational goals.
- Work closely with parents, school staff, and other professionals to coordinate and enhance student support.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational and behavioral strategies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification with anendorsement in Special Education and EC.
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to collaborate with classroom paraprofessionals and manage a supportive learning environment.
