The Financial Crimes Risk Management group consists of anti-money laundering, economic sanctions, foreign corruption, fraud, and corporate security.
Our program is designed to ensure protection of our clients, the U. S. financial system, and our country from illicit actors who exploit banking services with nefarious and criminal intent.
Our fraud group protects our clients and Bank from losses while the Banks physical security team protects our clients, visitors, employees and Banks monetary and physical assets.
Duties and Responsibilities
As part of Solutions Delivery within the BSA / AML Department, the Vice President AML Solutions Delivery Portfolio Manager (manager) will manage a team of project or product managers and business analysts focused on successful delivery of technology solutions in a fast paced regulatory environment.
This position oversees a portfolio of systems and related projects covering AML Transaction Monitoring, Customer Risk Rating, Know Your Customer, Currency Transaction Reporting, and Actimize Case Management.
The manager will serve as a subject matter expert on complex system and projects and engages all levels of staff and management in the technology and business units to provide ongoing management of mission critical systems ensuring compliance with BSA / AML regulatory requirements.
The manager will also assist the Head of Solutions Delivery to establish the AML technology strategy and roadmap in consultation with BSA / AML stakeholders and other technology organizations.
The manager is responsible for planning and execution of projects to further the technology roadmap and is accountable for business-as-usual (BAU) support of AML systems and management of technology related risks for AML.
The manager will work closely with disbursed stakeholders across various businesses and functions. A strong track record of execution and delivery, leadership and mentoring, and influencing across organizations is essential.
The manager must be experienced in presenting to executives and department heads, have a minimum of 10 years in-depth experience in banking, compliance and technology, and be a proficient risk manager.
The manager must also be an expert in technology delivery through various Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and have a solid understanding of technology and data.
What you'll do as a Vice President AML Solutions Delivery Portfolio Manager :
The ideal candidate has a solid record of deploying successful projects within budget and timeline as well as implementing new and improved processes to support efficiencies.
Responsibilities included, but not limited to, the following :
- Lead and manage a team responsible for system project delivery, change management, user acceptance testing, data validations and remediation activities, vendor engagements, and monitoring governance related to ongoing management of AML systems
- Execute the AML technology roadmap and strategy to align with BSA / AML objectives and Bank-wide strategies
- Oversee planning and execution of BSA / AML technology projects aligning to the Roadmap and addressing control deficiencies
- Oversee BAU activities including production issue diagnosis and remediation, audits, issues management, and regulatory exams and requests
- Manage technology related risks for AML related controls
- Identify and remove roadblocks, escalate issues through proper management channels when project or resource deliverables are not in alignment with expectations
- Proactively ensure effective and efficient execution of projects and internal initiatives, and deep dive where necessary to solve problems, to ensure on schedule delivery of high quality products and services
- Analyze and improve existing systems, operations, and processes with the objective of instilling a culture of continuous improvement in the organization
- Formulate and implement strategic and tactical corrective action measures to address internal audit, regulatory, and Quality Control and Testing findings
- Drive collaboration and efficiency across multiple teams and execution and oversight tasks associated with AML
- Build strong partnership with technology partners and key stakeholders
Qualifications
You could be a great fit if you have :
- 10+ years' experience implementing technology solutions at large banks or financial institutions
- 5+ years' experience directly managing employees
- Experience in enterprise software design and development tools, application, and cloud architectures
- Experience in technology project management, business system support, and software development life cycle
- Experience in executing user acceptance testing and designing solutions that are practical, flexible, scalable, reusable, strategic that are achieved through the application of industry proven architectural principles, standards, and governance
- Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
- Knowledge of AML risks and controls
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build and foster working relationship with team members, vendors, and internal and external business partners
- Experience presenting to executive level management and department heads
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years direct experience implementing AML technology solutions
- CAMS certification
Other responsibilities include 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to AML, 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, and 3) completing required training timely.
