Assistant Store Manager
Summary
Buckle is seeking experienced and talented individuals who desire to take their skills to the next level. As an Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager, you will work directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new Teammates, and provide leadership.
You will share responsibility for training and motivating Teammates and act as the Store Manager in their absence. This is a progression from the AIT position and includes additional high-level duties specific to that position, though the majority of job duties and responsibilities are shared.
Compensation
Pay Range : $18.00 - $20.00

Sales Generation and Guest Service
- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and consistently provide legendary service.
- Eagerly answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires.
- Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs by suggesting additional items.
- Demonstrate product utilizing product knowledge and sales education.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales, and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
- Provide legendary service throughout the store.
- Fill out and effectively use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily to accomplish goals.
- Maintain and build good Guest relationships to develop a client-based business.
- Lead by example with a high level of showmanship and customer service.
- Coachable; consistently welcomes feedback from Manager to improve sales presentations.
- Plan sales goals with Store Manager.
- Demonstrate ownership of store’s sales performance.
- Passion for product education and showmanship to create results.
Teammate Recruiting, Training and Development
- Recognize recruiting opportunities and coach new Teammates.
- Maintain a positive attitude, creating a positive floor culture.
- Motivate Teammates to initiate and complete daily tasks set by Store Management.
- Assist in leading, directing, and motivating new Teammates.
- Partner with Store Manager to pick store’s education focus and help delegate.
- Help execute all segments to support business goals.
- Assist Store Manager in Recruitment of all store staffing needs.
Visual Merchandise Management
- Own and influence product through zone ownership.
- Ensure sales floor is consistently sized and new freight is appropriately displayed.
- Show aptitude in recognizing merchandising opportunities and communicate recommendations to Store Manager.
Operations
- Work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Understand and utilize planner including completion of Opening and Closing Checklists.
- Follow all Loss Prevention guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store.
Supervisory and Leadership
- Support Leadership and promote personal and store growth.
- Handle all schedule changes positively and professionally.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assists the Store Manager in supervising.
Education and / or Experience
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related retail experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Qualifications
- Relocation may be required.
- No visa sponsorship is available.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel, including overnight as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in a retail store setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
