Position Summary

While working as the Chief Operating Officer Print & Promo Division you will be tasked with ownership and facilitation of the business operations and growth.

We are looking for a candidate that has industry knowledge, prior P&L responsibility and management experience across customer service and production teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement a progressive training and development strategy for the team members within your vertical.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement within your scope of responsibility, serving as a collaborator and offering your expertise and perspective to Operational Excellence, technology and others charged with improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Lead and coach your team to increase sales acumen We do not get paid to quote and need the team to focus on working towards the wins.

Value adds, rounding out opportunities, Cross selling into different vertical, Value engineering where necessary to solve for the win.

  • Maintain ownership of and accountability for the Profit and Loss Statement of your division; Achieve / exceed established vertical KPI targets (COGS, payroll, revenue, quality).
  • Participate in the issue resolution process as needed.
  • Demonstrate ownership of the Human Resources responsibilities of team management for direct reports (team leads), including but not limited to, timecard management and time-off approvals, performance appraisals, coaching, hiring and team development.

Ensure team leads are effectively managing pre-WIP activity.

  • Work with the sales leaders to best define and streamline contributions to the vertical’s daily operations and workflow.
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing leadership to provide guidance on potential sales programs which improve appropriate lead generation, customer fit, retention, and profitability.
  • Actively partner with production to ensure a mutual understanding, interpretation, and standardization of work orders; respond to all inquiries associated with WIP management promptly.
  • Standardize business processes, policies and procedures, including but not limited to, estimate and work order processes, follow up and communication cadences, production methods, etc.

and ensure the vertical delivers operational results in accordance with these standards.

  • Seek opportunities to expand our internal production capabilities in Print, Promotional Items and Apparel Decoration with the goal of reducing reliance on external vendors.
  • Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and / or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is desired but 5+ years in Printing and / or Promotional / Apparel or a related field is required.
  • Prior experience in leadership with P&L responsibility is required.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Strong business acumen and successful track record in achieving growth and operational goals.

Computer Skills

Performing this job successfully requires that an individual have a solid understanding of computers, data entry, internet searches, Microsoft Office suite and email applications.

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to write effective correspondence to customers and coworkers.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include being able to see clearly at 20 inches or less, distinguish colors, and adjust focus.
  • Mathematical abilities required by this job include reading a ruler, calculating simple costs, and other basic mathematical skills.
