Job Title : Product Design Manager
Compensation : $120,000-$160,000
Location : Remote
The Job :
The Product Design Manager will lead and develop a high-performing team of product designers embedded in agile crews who are focused on growth initiatives.
As a Product Design Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, marketing, and sales teams, to ensure designs are delivered on time and within budget.
What You Will Do :
- Promote a sense of ownership and continuous learning among designers.
- Establish a culture of experimentation within the design team and the broader product engineering organization.
- Coach designers to balance speed with quality to support high-velocity, outcome-focused agile crews.
- Work closely with product and engineering partners to ensure crews adopt rapid prototyping and quick iteration cycles with customers.
- Lead efforts to create scalable experimentation frameworks (e.g., using ephemerals, A / B testing, multivariate testing) and ensure transparent communication and alignment across the organization.
- Participate in design critiques and provide actionable feedback for improving design and discovery outputs and iteration cycles, including elevating and helping to resolve global design questions.
- Ensure designers meet sprint deadlines with high-quality, user-centric solutions.
- Implement sustainable design practices, including templates, guidance, light-weight processes and documentation
Who You Are and What You Need :
- Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 2-5 years of experience managing / mentoring UX and / or product designers
- Hands-on experience designing MVPs, prototypes, wireframes, rapid iterations, etc.
- Track record of using data to guide design decisions and iterating based on insights.
- Operational experience with optimizing workflows and / or managing design tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative environment.
- Experience working cross departmentally with Product Management, Engineering, data teams, and Human Resources.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
