Summary

In accordance with national standards of nursing practice and within the guidelines and policies and procedures of both MHCAH and the Maine State Board of Nursing, the Intake RN provides highly reliable, evidenced based, patient-family centered quality care.
Care delivery and coordination of patient and family care begins with the initial contact with the health care system and may continue across the continuum.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education : Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- License / Certifications : Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine.
- Experience : Minimum of 1year RN experience preferred. Ideal candidate will have experience in home healthcare, clinical nursing, including knowledge of community resources and the hospital discharge planning process.
Epic experience desired.
Verified technology and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ideal candidate is a pro-active problem solver who is solutions focused.
- Strong accuracy, organizational, and efficiency skills.
- Ability to navigate and quickly learn multiple application and software technologies.
- Ability to multi-task and manage workload under pressure effectively.
- Ability to readily adapt to changes in processes related to new or changing regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with third-party reimbursement regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills.
