Job Description :
- Patient Treatment : Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist.
- Equipment Operation : Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring patient safety and accurate delivery of treatment.
- Patient Care : Provide compassionate care to patients, including explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort.
- Treatment Planning : Collaborate with the oncology team to develop and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including treatment details and progress notes.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, safety standards, and hospital policies.
Education and Certification Requirements :
Radiation Therapist License : Must have an active national and state Radiation Therapist license.
