Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with solid hands-on estimating experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction means and methods, can perform detailed quantity takeoffs, and has a keen eye for identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure competitive and complete pricing.
  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and clients to clarify project requirements and design intent.
  • Assist in value engineering and constructability reviews during preconstruction.
  • Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing for future estimating efforts.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, budgets, and change orders as needed.

Qualifications :

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator with a general contractor or related firm.
  • Proven experience estimating commercial, industrial, or tenant improvement projects.
  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, ProEst, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
