Roof Welder Davis-Bacon Project (Section 3 Opportunity)
Location : Polk County, FL
Company : 1st Class Roofing, Inc.
Wage : $26.16 / hr + fringe benefits (based on Davis-Bacon rate for Welders in Heavy Construction)
Position Summary :
We are hiring experienced Roof Welders for commercial and residential roof replacement projects involving TPO / PVC and Duro-Last systems. Work is federally funded and subject to prevailing wage laws under Davis-Bacon.
Key Responsibilities :
- Weld roofing membranes to meet manufacturer and code requirements
- Use hot-air welding equipment and maintain clean, secure seams
- Assist team with layout, staging, and detail work
- Follow site safety protocols at all times
Qualifications :
Davis-Bacon wages apply. Welders will be compensated according to the official wage determination and must be recorded on weekly certified payrolls.
Section 3 Workers encouraged to apply. Local workers from low-income areas, public housing residents, or those qualifying under Section 3 will receive preference.
