Position : Field Service Technician - Predictive Maintenance
Classification : Hourly
Reports To : General Manager
Primary Responsibility :
Perform field service work both in-house and at customer sites following required instructions and quality procedures. Experience in an industrial environment is necessary.
Expertise Areas :
- Vibration Collection and Analysis
- Thermography and / or Lubrication Analysis
Key Duties / Accountabilities :
Perform tasks in at least two of the following areas :
- Field Testing
- Mechanical Maintenance of AC / DC Motors
- Electrical Maintenance of AC / DC Motors
- Control Troubleshooting and Repair
- Mechanical Repair (Turbine, Gearbox, Pump)
Additional Responsibilities :
- Apply knowledge of electrical and / or mechanical applications.
- Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet customer and company demands.
- Travel to customer sites to complete work as required.
- Train in additional areas under the instruction of a Manager or Supervisor.
- Guide new shop-service technicians unfamiliar with the work process.
- Ensure all tasks are performed using necessary procedures, work instructions, safety procedures, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Represent the company professionally during or personal contact with customers, vendors, and service providers.
- Document and report customer complaints to the quality department and resolve complaints within your influence.
- Follow all quality, safety, and environmental procedures and report any noncompliance.
- Support special projects assigned by the Operations Manager, which may or may not become part of your primary responsibilities.
- Promote continuous improvement through suggestions and procedural enhancements.
Measures of Success :
- Production efficiency with low rework and warranty costs.
- Customer satisfaction.
- Meeting or exceeding customer demand and delivery expectations.
Position Requirements :
- Experience in repairing and / or servicing electrical / mechanical apparatus.
- Working knowledge of at least two of the listed key duties / accountabilities.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
- Hardworking, detail-oriented, thorough, and able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Team skills are desirable for development and ongoing projects involving diverse teams.
