Responsibilities

  • Performing civil engineering work in water, wastewater treatment, stormwater, and conveyance infrastructure, focused on site design project components including site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructure
  • Conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation
  • Hydraulic calculations and / or modeling
  • Permitting and alternative analysis
  • Assist with coordinating sub-consultant work
  • Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
  • Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluate requests for information as part of engineering services during construction
  • Provide engineering services during construction
  • Participate in field activities and site reconnaissance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or related engineering field
  • Registration as an Engineer-in-Training
  • 4-8 years of directly-relevant experience in civil / site development
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop engineering drawings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems
  • Ability to develop working drawings for civil site plans (layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches (determines scales, layout, and need for specific detail)
  • Experience with the planning and design of facility layout and site design projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Experience with Geographical Information System (GIS) and / or hydraulic modeling software a plus

Pay Range

$80,000 to $100,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
