Job Description :

Join our team as the Director of Automation, Engineering, and Maintenance to lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of our automated pharmacy systems. In this role, you’ll oversee engineering projects, direct maintenance operations, and drive innovation to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and safety across all pharmacy operations.

Location :  Remedi SeniorCare Pharmacy, 14700 Helm Ct, Plymouth, MI 48170

Salary :  $145, 000 - $153,000 annually depending on experience

Bonus :  10% discretionary bonus based on company performance

Schedule :  Monday - Friday, with some after hours and weekend on-call availability

Reports To :  VP of Automated Solutions

Travel Requirement :  Up to 50% travel for site visits and project assessments to sites in the Midwest and Eastern US Regions

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of automated pharmacy systems
  • Lead efforts to keep facilities and equipment in optimal working condition, identifying and addressing any issues before they impact pharmacy operations.
  • Oversee engineering projects, facility upgrades, and workflow improvements
  • Develop and manage comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Train, and mentor a team of engineers, automation specialists, and maintenance staff
  • Provide mentoring, professional development, and performance management for team members to ensure high levels of productivity and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies including FDA, OSHA, DEA, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
  • Manage budgets, allocate resources, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align automation and engineering objectives
  • The ability to adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in automation, engineering, and maintenance within a manufacturing, pharmacy, or healthcare environment
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or management role
  • Certification in Project Management or Lean Six Sigma a plus
  • Experience with PLC or other control systems
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Must be dependable, flexible, and able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
