Job Summary :
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians, ensuring optimal reliability and efficiency across production lines.
Your role involves overseeing maintenance operations, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and collaborating on new projects.
With a focus on leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and experience in union environments, you'll play a pivotal role in minimizing downtime and contributing to company success.
Job Duties :
- Supervise maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and feedback.
- Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize disruptions to production schedules.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
- Conduct regular inspections to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize production interruptions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage inventory.
- Evaluate external contractors for specialized maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure the availability of spare parts and supplies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in a Production or Manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in a unionized environment preferred.
- Knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance principles.
- Understanding of business and management principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Solid grasp of safety regulations and the ability to promote a culture of safety.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Flexibility to work off-hours or on-call for emergency repairs.
