The Role
The Directorate of Navy Governance is seeking an APS 6 ICT Business Analyst who can manage and support the ongoing development, update and sustainment of the Navy Library (N Library) Holocentric content.
You will be instrumental in maintaining the Navy's digital content within Holocentric in support of a monthly digital publish cycle.
You will also be a key member of a small team involved in the development and process mapping of Navy’s systems of management, processes and procedures within Holocentric.
Not only will you be directly maintaining the Navy Library content in Holocentric, you will also be responsible for acquiring and applying business analysis methods and techniques in order to assist other Navy stakeholders in the maintenance and development of their respective Holocentric content.
Well-developed process modelling and leadership skills are essential. Some of the key duties of this role are :
- Maintenance & management of digital information in the Holocentric systems;
- Engage with Navy stakeholders to support content maintenance activities;
- Assist Navy authors with understanding the business requirements that need to be considered when authoring Australian Navy Publications to assist with future digitisation into Holocentric;
- Use your business analyst and leadership skills to work with the Defence Protect Network (DPN) N Library Manager with conducting quality assurances and business improvement activities;
- Use your business analyst and leadership skills to work with the Defence Secret Network (DSN) N Library Manager with conducting quality assurances and business improvement activities;
- Develop and implement new and updated processes and products; and
- Continually review objectives to maintain alignment with business needs and identify opportunities for future development.
About our Team
Working to the Director Navy Governance, you will be part of the Navy Governance team which currently consists of a blended workforce of ADF, APS and Contractors.
The key part of your role will be working with the Navy Library which supports Navy’s Leadership, Governance and Operational Outcomes.
The N Library is the online digital repository for guides, manuals, policy, doctrine, process and all other supporting documentation required by Navy.
The N Library Program provides Holocentric support services to assist Sub-Library Managers with maintaining their digital sub-library content.
Due to your process modelling skill sets you will be a key member of the N Library team, accountable for providing Holocentric support to the newly commissioned N Library digital library and the N Library Business Management System.
You will also be pivotal in assisting Navy’s Domain Policy Officers and Functional Level Policy Officers with their update of their content within the digital N Library throughout the Library’s monthly publish cycles.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have well developed Holocentric skills, and preferably a background in either testing, process mapping or the development of Holocentric systems.
To succeed in this role, applicants will be required to demonstrate :
- Well developed BPMN or UML skills using Visio or similar tools;
- Well developed attention to detail and an ability to provide high quality digital content;
- Well developed stakeholder engagement skills;
- Well developed supervisory and leadership skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, high performing team; and
- Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with government security requirements.
