Job Title : School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Location : Tuskegee, AL, and surrounding areas
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team and provide exceptional services to students in Tuskegee, AL, and the surrounding areas.
As a School-Based SLPA, you will play an essential role in assisting Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering effective therapy and support to students with communication needs.
Responsibilities :
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Support the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs.
- Assist in monitoring and documenting students' progress.
- Support students' participation and engagement during therapy sessions.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure effective therapy delivery.
Requirements :
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
- Valid Alabama SLPA license or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
