Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator, ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a nursing job in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception : an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer / promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance;

an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer / promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension.

Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees.

The Montefiore Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement.

The Patient Care Coordinator actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.

The PCC participates in performance improvement / research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise;

and demonstrates leadership skills. The PCC demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.

The PCC contributes to the actualization of the philosophy and the balanced performance measures of the discipline. He / she is committed to maintaining the standards of the practice of nursing and is responsible for the coordination, implementation and delivery of care to the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and / or geriatric patient.

The Patient Care Coordinator, in collaboration with and under the direction of the Administrative Nurse Manager participates in the coordination / implementation of fiscal, human, and other resources needed to provide patient care services for a designated unit, location or patient population on a designated unit.

Monitors performance of nursing personnel in maintaining MMC standards of practice of nursing. Coaches / provides feedback to nursing personnel as needed.

Clinical title does not carry from unit to unit.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE :

• New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State
• BSN Degree required
• 5 years clinical experience, two of which must be in the specialty or related service.
• Critical Care preferred
• CPAN / CAPA Certified Preferred
• Certification preferred in specialty or efforts to achieve certification Membership in A.O.R.N highly desirable
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Computer literate
