Your role :

MilliporeSigma is looking for a Process Development Scientist to join the Technical and Scientific Solutions team in the Southeast region based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Process Development Scientist is part of a worldwide team of engineers and scientists reporting into the technical support group for MilliporeSigma’s Process Solutions business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Proactively pursuing and performing process development studies for the purification of therapeutic proteins using MilliporeSigma technologies such as sterile, depth, tangential flow and virus filtration and chromatography.
  • Involvement in filter selection and sizing, process optimization, and technology transfer activities associated with the purification of new pharmaceuticals.
  • Provide consultation to customers through email or teleconference calls.
  • Collaborate and work with customer process development groups in the Midwest region.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of local MilliporeSigma account managers to provide technical expertise to local customers.
  • Adequately document customer interfacing activities.
  • Communicate and work effectively in cross-functional teams, influence technical approaches, and support strategy execution.

Who you are :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or other life science discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development or technology implementation.
  • 3+ years of downstream pharmaceutical development experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline.
  • Experiencewrittingexperimental reports and other appropriate documentation.
  • Exceptional hands-on laboratory, analytical, and technology skills.
