About the Role...

Point of Rental's Staff Accountant will perform day-to-day duties while ensuring accounting and finance issues and processes are appropriately identified and analyzed.

The Staff Accountant will be a catalyst for change and will recommend process and system modifications that improve internal controls and increase efficiency.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Accounting.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable and Purchasing - responsibilities include vendor management, expense analysis, controls and compliance, monthly close.
• Accounts Receivable and Revenue - responsibilities include invoice generation, collections, billing analysis, revenue analysis, working with sales team, monthly close.
• General Accounting - responsibilities include fixed assets accounting, controls and compliance, assisting with sales tax filings, monthly close, ad-hoc project accounting.

Must have qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of general accounting experience with responsibilities in GL, AR, AP in a progressively growing company

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

• Possess accounting and internal controls knowledge - solid understanding of US GAAP and the ability to learn international accounting matters.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and execute concurrent assignments.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel functions and possess an understanding of database tools to perform SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct and Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, & CPQ) is a plus
• Possess innovative thinking abilities with a high degree of motivation and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to constant change to meet deadlines.
• Possess a willingness to take ownership and work collaboratively as part of a team are essential.
• Critical thinking and strong analytical skills.

Job Type : Full-Time, Exempt. Base Salary + Benefits (Medical / Dental / Vision) + 100% 401K Matching (Up to 4%). M-F, Daytime Hours.
