Responsibilities Work in an ICU unit within a hospital environment Provides care for adult, geriatric, pediatric, and adolescent patient populations Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, typically 3 nights per week (19 : 00 to 07 : 30) Assignment length is 13-16 weeks during the winter Uses Epic for computerized charting and documentation Rapid response team experience is highly preferred Responsible for delivering advanced critical care to a wide age range of patients with complex conditions Holiday coverage is required, with a maximum of one major holiday off and up to 7 days total RTO, none in the first 2 weeks No first time travelers will be considered for this position Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers Urgent completion of Ohio fingerprinting process is required upon signing contract Assignment provides critical winter coverage support References from coworkers are not accepted; must be from supervisory staff RTO requests must be submitted and approved with contract Requirements Active RN license (Compact or Ohio State) in hand at the time of consideration Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program is required Must have 5 years of recent, unit-based permanent ICU experience (travel experience does not count toward baseline) Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and either CCRN or OCN Experience with Epic charting required Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor Former employees eligible if more than 6 months have passed since last employment Current Ohio State University hospital employees are ineligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-600898.
