Special Education Teacher

At MIYO Health (formerly TeleTeachers), we are passionate about providing quality education to students who need special education services.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our remote teaching team. As a Special Education Teacher at MIYO Health, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and help them reach their full potential.

We are looking for a Special Education Teacher who is not only knowledgeable and skilled in special education practices, but also compassionate and patient.

You must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.

Requirements :

Before applying, make sure you have and are able to :

• Active Teaching Certificate in TEXAS is required - must hold Special Education + High School credentials from TEA
• Availability to teach REMOTELY (full time hours) for the remainder of the 24-25 school year in an alternative high school setting
• At least 2 years experience in a school-based setting
• Case management experience
• Familiarity with web-based IEP programs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Create and adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in a virtual classroom setting
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for student
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
• Schedule meeting; gather, analyze, and / or classify student data; to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services
• Work with a diverse group of students under a wide variety of circumstances.
• Maintain confidentiality; set priorities; meet deadlines and schedules; work with detailed information; and adapt to changing priorities.
• Work as part of a team; adapt to changing priorities; and apply logical processes and analytical skills.
