Your primary responsibility will be to drive sales and revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
You will work closely with the sales team and other departments to identify new business opportunities, promote products or services, negotiate contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Your role will require a combination of sales skills, industry knowledge, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) :
1. Sales Generation :
- Actively prospect and generate leads to expand the customer base.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the manufacturing sector.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create effective sales presentations and proposals.
- Present product / service offerings to potential customers and address their inquiries and concerns.
2. Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Regularly communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, logistics) to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
- Follow up on customer orders, inquiries, and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide after-sales support and assistance to customers as needed.
3. Sales Administration :
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for management review.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to develop pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Stay informed about product / service updates, pricing changes, and industry regulations.
- Additional duties and responsibilities assigned.
Requirements, Experience, & Education (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) :
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is a plus).
- Proven experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, products, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, or industry events (if required).
