The RN is responsible for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory requirements. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients. Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management. Utilize knowledge of pharmacology to safely administer medications. Participate in and support the Nursing Shared Governance Model. Engage in professional development and complete mandatory education requirements. Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current New York State RN License. BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). Five plus years of direct experience in nursing.
