Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • ARRT Mammography certification (ARRT-M)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA
  • State Radiology License
  • Completion of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Undergraduate degree in radiologic technology or a related clinical field

    • Skills & Responsibilities

  • Conduct breast imaging exams according to departmental standards and protocols.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to imaging and equipment.
  • Prepare exam rooms and patients efficiently, explaining procedures clearly.
  • Obtain optimal image quality through proper positioning and instructions.
  • Archive images accurately to PACS and ensure data integrity.
  • Use Epic, Radiant Information Systems, and mammography reporting tools proficiently.
  • Enter orders, schedule exams, document notes, and complete billing tasks accurately.
  • Support quality assurance, scheduling, and patient coordination tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile exam environment.
  • Assist radiologists and medical staff during procedures and with specimen preparation.
  • Provide teaching and support to co-workers, students, and new staff.
