Position Overview :
As a Home Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide personalized care and assistance to individuals in their homes who require help with daily living activities due to age, illness, or disability.
Your primary role will be to support clients in maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities :
- Personal Care : Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Mobility Support : Help clients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair, and assisting with walking or other physical activities.
- Health Monitoring : Observe and report changes in clients' physical and mental health to healthcare professionals and family members.
- Medication reminders : Assist clients in adhering to their medication schedules by providing timely reminders for each dose, as prescribed by their healthcare provider.
- Household Tasks : Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry as needed.
- Companionship : Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in social activities and conversation to enhance their mental well-being.
- Safety : Ensure a safe living environment by checking for and addressing potential hazards, and following infection control protocols.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided, including changes in clients’ conditions and any incidents or observations.
Qualifications :
Certification :
Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a valid certification in Georgia.
Experience :
Previous experience in home care or a related healthcare setting is preferred.
Skills :
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Physical Stamina :
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility.
