Hourly Shift Leader Duties
The hourly shift leader duties include :

- Delegating tasks to restaurant staff and supervising their performance.
- Maintaining a fully-stocked inventory and ordering food supplies as needed.
- Arranging to have shifts covered (e.g., when employees take time off).
- Helping staff resolve on-the-job challenges.
- Tracking and impacting daily costs and revenues, including labor, food cost, guest satisfaction, and sales.
- Balancing the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
- Coordinating with suppliers as they deliver food product orders.
- Ensuring client satisfaction and gracefully handling any complaints.
- Opening or closing the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift).
- Informing the next Shift Leader about pending tasks.
- Reporting maintenance and training needs.
- Protecting the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
- Other duties as requested by management.
