Overview

As a Product Engineer at Scag Power Equipment located in Mayville WI, you will support Scag Power Equipment products by providing technical engineering and product management support to assembly, quality, service and purchasing teams.

Responsibilities

In addition you will :

Work with new product development team to introduce new product to the production floor for our Scag Power Equipment product lines.

  • Work with manufacturing to insure successful implementation and launch of new designs.
  • Perform assembly line audits to insure Scag products are being built to meet quality standards and units are functioning properly
  • Work with assembly team and quality control team to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Work with purchasing team to qualify and approve new components from existing and new suppliers
  • Manage cost savings and product improvement initiatives
  • Review Bill of Materials for new designs and prepare cost estimates based on supplier quotes and internal estimates
  • Review quality rejects and determine appropriate disposition
  • Analyze and diagnose product warranty and assure proper solution is implemented

Qualifications

We need an excellent communicator, who is self-motivated and can multi-task in a fast paced team environment. You will need exceptional analytical skills for problem solving, with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering and design experience.

A strong candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in the following :

  • CAD drafting / modeling using Pro-E / Creo
  • Ability to manage other team members
  • Bill of Material construction
  • SAP data entry and analysis
  • Product design
  • Component selection and supplier communication
  • Manufacturing support experience
