The ideal candidate will handle various corporate bankruptcy and restructuring aspects, focusing on Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases, including litigation.
Duties :
- Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents related to bankruptcy litigation.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and bankruptcy trustees.
Requirements :
- 2-8 years of experience practicing law, focusing on bankruptcy and restructuring.
- Proven experience in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases.
- Admission to the New Jersey State Bar is mandatory.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Education and Certifications :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
- Certification or additional training in bankruptcy law (preferred but not required).
Skills :
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Knowledge of bankruptcy laws, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
