We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC,LCSW,LMFT) to join our team! We are a developing group private practice and we are currently seeking professionals to join our team.

Responsibilities :

Conduct Client Assessments : Evaluate clients' mental health through structured interviews, psychometric tests, and other diagnostic tools to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Develop and Implement Treatment Plans : Create personalized therapeutic strategies that align with clients' specific needs, goals, and preferences.

This includes setting short-term and long-term goals and adjusting plans as necessary.

Provide Individual, Group, and Family Therapy : Offer therapy sessions tailored to individuals, groups, and families, addressing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.

Crisis Intervention : Provide immediate support and intervention during client crises, such as suicidal ideation or severe anxiety attacks, and connect clients with emergency services if necessary.

Maintain Client Records : Keep detailed, confidential records of client interactions, progress, treatment plans, and any changes in mental health status.

Ensure all documentation meets legal, ethical, and professional standards.

Collaborate with Other Healthcare Providers : Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

Stay Updated on Best Practices : Regularly engage in continuing education, attend professional workshops, and review the latest research to stay informed on advancements in therapeutic practices.

Provide Psychoeducation : Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, therapeutic processes, and coping strategies to empower them in managing their mental health.

Advocate for Clients : Support clients in navigating healthcare systems, accessing resources, and advocating for their needs within and outside the therapeutic environment.

Adhere to Ethical Guidelines : Ensure that all therapeutic practices align with the ethical guidelines set by professional bodies, such as maintaining client confidentiality and obtaining informed consent.

Qualifications :

Educational Background :

A Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Licensure :

  • A current and valid state license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Ability to practice within the state of NJ.
  • Additional certifications relevant to specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, etc.) are highly desirable.

Experience :

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of post-licensure experience in providing therapy to diverse populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Experience in specific areas such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or substance abuse is advantageous.

Therapeutic Skills :

  • Proficiency in a range of therapeutic approaches (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy) with the ability to tailor treatment to individual client needs.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively.

Interpersonal Skills :

  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Strong empathy, compassion, and the ability to build rapport with clients quickly.
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity to work effectively with diverse populations.

Professionalism :

  • Strong adherence to ethical guidelines and professional standards as outlined by governing bodies (e.g., APA, NASW).
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends and research.

Organizational Skills :

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a caseload efficiently.
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate client records and documentation.

Technology Proficiency :

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and the ability to conduct telehealth sessions using secure, compliant platforms.
  • Basic computer literacy, including the use of email, word processing, and scheduling software.

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in the face of challenging situations and clients.
