Expeditors' Customer Experience Portfolio is exclusively focused on delivering value to customers and creating the digital products, like EXP.

O NOW, that uplift the technology leadership with our customers and industry.

As an Associate Developer, you will be a part of a team responsible for the design and production of one of EXP.O NOW's key functional areas.

The Visibility team is looking for someone who is eager to learn and has a strong 'get it done' attitude. You will help us create the industry-leading Visibility solution through a customer-centric experience that provides seamless and intuitive tracking and reporting capabilities that empowers customers to manage their supply-chain more effectively.

You will also learn to understand business problems and opportunities while applying technical skills in the design, development, and testing of data flows within our applications and systems.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Playing a key role on a collaborative project team, responsible for the design and production of mission critical, enterprise-scale business systems
  • Translating requirements into system design specifications and the implementation of systems throughout the entire software development life cycle
  • Assist in on-call rotations for production support issues
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of evolving technologies in use by other teams at Expeditors and in the technology industry as a whole

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability.

Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Java Development
  • Experience working with backend code to write business logic, database queries, etc.
  • Critical thinking abilities
  • Experience developing front-end web application user interfaces
  • An understanding of web applications and enterprise systems

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with transportation and logistics or supply-chain solutions
  • Experience with event-driven architecture
  • Experience with Azure APIs
  • Experience with IntelliJ IDEA or similar IDE, various plug-ins, Maven, Nexus
  • Experience with Git, branching, and merge requests / pull requests
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines, automation, security and monitoring (DevSecOps)
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containers
  • Experience implementing applications with responsive design and development
  • BS or BA in Computer Science or similar, or professional experience in :
  • Software development
  • Enterprise systems support

Additional Information

Expected base salary : $85,000 to $120,000
