Position Description
This position is a Special Assistant and a direct advisor to the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, and Executive Director, within any NAVSUP Echelon III Command and is located in the Commanding Officer’s Staff.
The position serves as the Command Inspector General (CIG) with responsibility for conducting investigations and providing independent assessments, recommendations, and advice to assist the Commanding Officer in ensuring mission accomplishment, regulatory compliance, ethical conduct, proper stewardship, and efficient and effective use of resources throughout the command.
Incumbent also serves as a member of the NAVSUP IG inspection team, as required, and operationally reports to NAVSUP IG in an additional duty (ADDU) relationship in the direct conduct of investigations.
