The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing direct care, medical clearance, education and support to employees and students at the research community.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders including Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Research Compliance and Biosafety.
The Nurse Practitioner will assess, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries / exposures / illness and evaluate outcomes.
The position supports the non-occupational injury, illness return to work program, and pre-placement clearance process.
Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Requires a master's degree in area of specialty, certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), and state authority for advanced practice.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
