Job Title : Project Manager Light Rail Underground Utility Work

Location : San Jose, California

About the Role : Join our dynamic and growing team as a Project Manager on an exciting Light Rail Project in San Jose, California.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to take charge of the underground storm and sewer utility work as a Subcontractor.

This role offers the opportunity to manage a project from start-up through to successful completion and closeout, while working closely with both our internal team and the Prime Contractor.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Leadership : Oversee the entire project scope, from planning and execution to completion and closeout, ensuring that all aspects of the project meet safety, quality, and budgetary standards.

Liaison and Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact between our company and the Prime Contractor, fostering strong relationships and ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.

Safety and Quality Assurance : Take overall responsibility for the safety and quality of the project, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety protocols and quality requirements.

Contract Management : Interpret and adhere to contracts, plans, and specifications, ensuring that the project stays on track and meets all contractual obligations.

Problem Solving : Analyze complex issues and make timely, informed decisions to keep the project on schedule and within budget, aligning with both project and organizational objectives.

Team Supervision : Lead, direct, and supervise the work of project team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of all tasks.

Support and Coordination : Assist the Division / Area Manager with major equipment needs and other project requirements, ensuring that all resources are in place to achieve project goals.

Requirements

Qualifications :

Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of education and work experience totaling 14 years.

Experience : At least 10 years of work-related experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a Project Manager role or a similar capacity managing teams.

Technical Skills : Strong technical knowledge related to underground utility work, with the ability to effectively manage project-specific challenges.

Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal team members and external stakeholders.

Software Proficiency : Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.

Organizational Skills : Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
