As a Principal Supplier Development Specialist, you will have an important role in ensuring supplier development processes and strategies are implemented to meet cost, schedule, quality, and delivery goals to support operations and activities.
In this role, it is Typical to supervises 3-10 supplier development staff and / or continuous-improvement project staff who perform tactical and / or strategic supply management functions.
You may also focus on products produced in one assembly, primary operation, and / or functional factory area.
YOUR IMPACT
Ensures supplier development activities and processes are implemented to support Enterprise Supply Management initiatives and / or activities
Performs administrative duties related to performance management, resource planning, training and development of direct reports
Focuses on the supply management sub-processes to ensure an uninterrupted supply of material, adherence to quality expectations and cost-reduction goals to support operations as well as introduction of new products.
Monitors and executes inventory project plans to achieve inventory / asset management and material flow goals
May participate or help to define larger projects or lead larger projects to meet Division or Enterprise business objectives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree
8-plus years of experience in specific areas of Supply Management such as : supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, scheduling, forecasting, logistics, etc
Ability to travel up to 50%
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Project Management Professional Certification
Understanding of operations
Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
Understanding of fundamental business principles and practices
Knowledge and application of Supply Management Processes and tools
Cross functional work experience in multiple major areas such as : accounting, product engineering, quality, manufacturing operations, warehousing and / or distribution, production employee supervision, supply management, marketing, human resources, industrial engineering, etc
