About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Current RN license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have : Epic Charting experience

Description :

CVICU skill mix in a blended unit.

The unit provides care to patients 16 years of age and older with primary cardiac diagnoses.

This includes heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, and cardiothoracic surgery.

Other diagnoses managed include IABP therapy, Impella insertion, post-PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmia, and STEMI / NSTEMI.

The unit features 30 beds : 18 dedicated to cardiovascular intensive care and 12 to cardiovascular intermediate care.

Strong cardiovascular experience is needed.

A multidisciplinary team is dedicated to providing excellent patient care.

Nurses are specialized and trained for this unique patient population.

Advanced certification is encouraged and promoted.

Training covers beginner to advanced cardiovascular intensive care.

Includes training for intra-aortic balloon pump, continuous renal replacement therapy, and targeted temperature management.

The unit has received several regional recognitions for excellence in cardiovascular care.

The atmosphere fosters growth and mentoring for nursing staff.

Nurses are involved in the care of patients with complex issues requiring advanced skills.

Overall focus is on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
