KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, State Credits (AMCS) to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice.

Responsibilities :

  • Identify credits and incentives situations, when research is necessary, providing an outline of the issue(s) and the appropriate source of research to be conducted
  • Conduct detailed reviews of income tax returns, and identify most significant statutory credit opportunities
  • Evaluate a client’s current compliance processes, and provide customized solutions for the client to comply with annual credits and incentives reporting
  • Conduct review of a client’s operations to determine in which jurisdictions credits and incentives opportunities may exist
  • Manage the expectations of assigned clients
  • Utilize credits and incentives research databases and other credits and incentives related software in the completion of assigned tasks

Qualifications :

  • Minimum two years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college / university
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access along with experience performing internet research
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Technical skills and experience with research and development deduction and credit Internal Revenue Code sections (including, but not limited to, sections 174 & 41), corresponding regulations, and relevant judicial and administrative authority
  • Ability to travel and work at client locations
