Responsibilities :

As a Workers Comp' Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for :

  • Handling all aspects of workers' compensation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Representing clients at workers' compensation hearings and trials.
  • Taking and defending depositions, including preparing clients and witnesses.
  • Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Providing legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under workers' compensation law.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
  • Staying up-to-date on changes in workers' compensation law and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Workers Comp' Associate Attorney position will possess the following qualifications :

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Proven experience in taking and defending depositions.
  • Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
  • Experience with legal discovery and trial procedures.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and client management skills.
