We are seeking a skilled OR Nurse to join our surgical team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes during surgical procedures.
Position : RN Registered Nurse
Location : Memphis, Tennessee
Schedule : Night (4x10 Hours) 17 : 30 7 : 00, Day (4x10 Hours) 7 : 00 17 : 30
Duration : 13 Week Contract
Unit : OR Operating Room
What You'll Do :
As an OR Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care before, during, and after surgery. Your expertise in perioperative nursing, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with surgeons and other healthcare professionals will be key in delivering high-quality surgical care.

Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Serve as a patient advocate throughout the surgical experience, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Monitor patients' responses to anesthesia and surgery, reporting any changes in condition to the surgical team.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols, including proper handling of specimens and disposal of biohazardous materials.
- Document all aspects of patient care, including preoperative assessments, intraoperative care, and postoperative recovery, in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements :
- 2 years RN OR experience with travel or 3 years’ experience with no travel
- Compact or TN License at time of submittal
- Must live at least 100 miles from facility
- COVID-19 Vaccine
