Role Purpose Statement
Drive operational excellence and ensure customer satisfaction. As the Director of Operations for the Ramp Department at LSG Sky Chefs, you'll oversee all ground handling activities, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Your leadership will be instrumental in optimizing resource utilization, meeting stringent regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional service to our airline clients.
You'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our ramp operations and ensuring our continued success.
Main Accountabilities
- Develop and implement annual business plans and budgets.
- Oversee short-term manufacturing and operational planning.
- Monitor and optimize economic and operating performance.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation and utilization.
- Manage material ordering and inventory.
- Maintain compliance with company standards, customer contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Initiate and oversee continuous process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality guidelines.
- Foster clear communication and cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize, staff, and direct the area of responsibility.
- Guide, motivate, and develop subordinate employees.
- Participate in coaching and career development initiatives.
- Promote company values and management principles.
- Manage and control cost budgets.
- Support company-sponsored initiatives like GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, and Employee Safety.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- In addition, five to seven years of experience in related field required
- Experience in managing multiple departments
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Polished presentation and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
