Overview

POS IT Support Specialist - Grocery Point of Sale at Business Machines Company, Inc. is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to assist customers with Point of Sale systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in technology, problem-solving, and embody our core values.

Responsibilities

  • Review open tickets, handle inquiries, and assist customers with troubleshooting POS hardware and software issues.
  • Support receipt printers, tagging machines, handheld devices, POS registers, touch screens, and card readers; create sale batches, run reports, reset passwords, and configure new items.
  • Escalate complex issues to developers when needed and document interactions and troubleshooting steps for the knowledge base.
  • Participate in after-hours upgrades and scheduled software implementations; support after-hours duties as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stay organized, prioritizing tasks to deliver high-quality support.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; good communication and customer service skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience or familiarity with POS systems, hardware, and software; knowledge of networking, databases, and Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • Education : Associate\'s degree, technical school, or high school diploma; valid driver\'s license with clean driving record.
