In-Person Interview : After a screening call with TQC, we’ll invite a final number of candidates to our office for an in-person interview or set up a live Zoom meeting with the hiring manager(s).

Pre-employment requirements include an employment application, standardized testing, including aptitude or skill-set test, a drug screen, a credit screen and a criminal background check.

Position Summary :

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, implementation, execution, control, and project management of enterprise-wide strategic projects, including motivational change leadership, ideas and applications ensuring consistency with credit union strategy, commitments, and goals to accelerate the achievement of project deadlines and value creation.

Shapes, drives, and implements innovative approaches and solutions within and across the enterprise to achieve desired business outcomes.

Consults with various business and technical partners to deliver iterative business value and achieve business strategy and objectives.

Essential Functions :

  • Manages the enterprise project roadmap
  • Communicates the status of the project roadmap to the leadership team
  • Facilitates the Strategic Steering Committee meetings to drive the project roadmap
  • Leads business unit or enterprise project initiatives with moderate to high scope and complexity
  • Leads programs / project team members
  • Drives leaders across the enterprise to deliver value and achieve business strategies and objectives
  • Shapes programs / projects to deliver business value with shorter iterations of project delivery
  • Develops appropriate communication strategies and secures commitment for program / project decisions; guides program teams to communicate solution vision and priorities
  • Develops plans to overcome resistance to many types of change
  • Sets expectations and assuages fears associated with impact of change and guides team forward
  • Drives and influences program alignment and success through monitoring program, industry, functional or technology trends;

incorporate emerging business and consumer trends into applicable programs

  • Contributes to solution options and supports business partner decision making to minimize the amount of project investment divergence from target outcomes
  • Partners with program / project teams to identify opportunities for creating reusable artifacts
  • Leads project / program teams to identify measurable business value to ensure metrics are gathered and business objectives are realized
  • Leads project / program team to continually focus on business strategy, vision and prioritizes based on delivery of business value
  • Manages through ambiguity; Manages and resolves conflict issues and risks to remove barriers within the project / program team while continuing momentum on initiatives
  • Work with business owners to assess vendor products and interfaces impacted by projects and make recommendations for cost effective, efficient improvements
  • Partners with leaders to understand trade-offs and align program vision
  • Provides partners and leaders with an accurate view of challenges to adoption; recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns
  • Provide guidance, feedback, coaching and mentoring to project team members

Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills :

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems or Computer Science is strongly preferred.

Advanced Degree in Business Administration or other related area is preferred.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is preferred.

Experience :

Minimum eight years of combined experience in project analysis, coordination, and management with a minimum of five years of experience directly managing projects.

Experience managing moderate complexity projects end-to-end required, preferably in a financial institution. Experience communicating with the executive leadership team and facilitating steering committee meetings.

Skills and Abilities :

Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently. Knowledge of financial products and services, especially as it relates to various delivery channels preferred.

Knowledge of existing credit union products, services and overall operational guidelines. Ability to work quickly and under tight delivery deadlines with focus on details.

Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with management, coworkers, and business users.

Demonstrated ability to produce high quality deliverables. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, strong organizational and time management skills.

Effective collaboration of tasks across the business and technical teams. Supportive of all decisions, choices, goals and objectives as determined by PMO leadership and Executive leadership.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. Ability to use logical reasoning when making objective observations, examinations, evaluations and recommendations.

Familiarity with common contractual language and contract negotiation

Hours Required : Exempt employee with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, generally 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours may fluctuate moderately to accommodate business needs.
